HUGE: While very unlikely, due to it’s complexity, it would just be really cool. Another fun bot that would change things up. While you hold the button, the saw spins, and the arm comes down. Sawblaze: The controls wouldn’t actually be that difficult. S.O.W.: Can you imagine having this? It would be a big shift in the hex bug meta probably.

Hypershock: been waiting on this one for a while, but they changed it to season 3 witch doctor. That being said, I would love to see the following bots Unfortunately, bots that aren’t competing this season are very unlikely. This could allow for robots like Apollo, Tough as Nails, Xiake, Lightning, Razer, Nuts (2016 version), Storm 2, Fire Storm, Panic Attack, Pussycat, Tanshe, Wheely Big Cheese, Chaos 2, etc to get unofficial toys. That way new robots could be introduced and more outlandish weapons could be made in toy form since these models would not have to accurately represent a robot from the show. For alternate wheels, Hexbug could use different tire materials with different tread patterns.įinally (and least likely), it would be interesting to see Hexbug make its own Battlebots competitors.

I would also absolutely love some different shells that could convert the cage spinner into a full body spinner.įor the tracked chassis, we could have some alternate tread patterns. The axe weapon could have an attachment that converts it into a sword, a mace head, or even a flail. The angled horizontal spinner could have a Marvin style flail version as well as an asymmetric bar and/or disc. The wider drum spinner could have a drisc or even a saw tooth variation. For a more interesting attachment, perhaps Hexbug could make an armor plate with rubber flaps to slow down spinners.įor something a bit more simple, Hexbug could make additional weapon head attachments. Another could be a triangular armor plate similar to what Lock Jaw used against Tombstone and Son of Whyachi. I would love for some independently hinged long toothed forks.

There also some front and rear attachments I would like to see. Additionally, a control based lifter is a reasonable option as well as a reciprocating spike for variety. A horizontal grabber could also be a good weapon module. Another module that would be interesting would be a grabber module that would allow you clamp onto an opponent and control them (bring them to the pulverizer). An easy and simple one would be a face spinner (like Expulsion or Crossfire). I also think some new weapon modules should be added. A bristle bot chassis could also be an interesting. Personally, I absolutely think that Hexbug should make a walker chassis since that's Hexbug's specialty and we now have a walker in the form of Chomp. What BYOB releases would you like to see (new weapons, new chassis', new attachments)? Perhaps Hexbug didn't have the time to make any prototypes other than Duck and Rotator or maybe they ran out of ideas for that line (I hope not, but in that case let's help them out.). So far we've had two years of BYOB (build your own bot) kits from Hexbug, but this year saw no new releases for that range.
